Sorry to kristiano1979 who requested Hellboy, I looked him up and he was too manly for me… hehe
I was lazy and didn’t ref anything so erm sorry for inaccuracies… might color these in the future if I am a little less lazy
I feel like drawing
I don’t want to be responsible for requests/trades so.. suggestions?

Well since you asked so nicely o3o
The next avatar is supposed to be an Earthbender and I really wanted to explore Ba Sing Se some more since it’s such a huge city so that’s where he comes from (no names yet because names are dumb but he’s the dude that’s kneeling down in my sketches). I also thought it’d be interesting to have an avatar who is more of a normal person because both Aang and Korra seem to be really suited for the job and they are both really powerful benders.
SO the main character would be a pretty average 16 year old boy who is an earthbender living in the 1st(? whatever the highest rung is I forget how Ba Sing Se works) rung because his parents work with the king and he attends school with other higher-class children. His mom and older sister are benders but there’s this girl at his school that’s he’s known since he was a kid who he’s very close to who isn’t a bender so he doesn’t really see the need to develop his earthbending skills beyond what is necessary in school and little tricks and daily chores.
BUT THEN on his 16th birthday the special Avatar-training people (Avatar training corporation? whoever those people were who brought up Korra) come to his house and reveal that he is actually the Avatar but his parents didn’t want him to know until it was absolutely necessary because the nations were going through a time of peace and they wanted him to be able to lead a normal life. They tell him he’ll have to leave his home in a few days to begin his avatar training and be protected by said Avatar corporation.
Obviously he’s gonna feel pretty awful that he never spent the time training for his earthbending and then he’s gonna go through an avatar crisis like Aang did when he realized that his world is going to be changed forever and in my master scheme this lack of self-confidence is his biggest flaw and leads to his first avatar state encounter later on.
The day before he has to leave Ba Sing Se for his avatar training, a 14-year old airbender shows up at his doorstep proposing that she help him master airbending. She has 3 older airbending brothers who are all masters who helped train her when she was young which led to her receiving her tattoos at 12. However, because she was so advanced, she was ostracized by the other kids around her age and decided she wanted to make something of her abilities by helping the Avatar. Her aunt (or uncle… someone related to her who she has a katara-gran-gran style relationship with) who has built up a library and done much research on the Avatar tells her that the next Avatar should be turning 16 soon and will be found somewhere in the Earth Kingdom and she set off to find him.
The avatar kid explains that the avatar has to undergo specific training that he’ll be leaving for the next day, and even if he didn’t, the only element he has managed to bend so far besides earth was water. The airbender girl explains that she travels on a flying bison and could easily fly him to the south pole to find a waterbending master if that is what he wants to try first. He says that the only way that could be possible is if he runs away but then they both realize that they could actually do it.
Avatar kid convinces his parents that this is a much better path because he’ll be able to experience the world that he will need to protect and he is in good hands because the airbender girl is a master etc. etc. Avatar kid says final goodbyes to his parents, his bestfriend, and his non-bender “girlfriend/love interest” and has a dramatic parting scene in which she reassures him that he will become a powerful bender in time and he promises that he will return soon.
Avatar and airbender girl set off for the southern water tribe where they will find a dude waterbender(who I haven’t developed as much yet) and become best friends etc. etc.!!!!
And I have developed beyond that hehe but that’s the important stuff/the stuff I am totally set on.
THE END THIS WAS SO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last one I promise!
I was really bored in school one day and decided to draw my bedroom from memory. I would take a picture from this angle to compare but I don’t think it’s actually possible… There were a lot of details in blue pencil but my scanner decided not to pick them up :(

aaaaaaaand some more because I can
So I was trying to fall asleep yesterday but then I ended up coming up with a whole new story line for the next avatar after Korra and then I came up with characters and the whole plot and I need this plan to be executed before I die???? That’s the story behind the avatar characters who look unfamiliar because this is all avatar stuff.
I literally planned out each season in my mind. Does that ever happen to anyone else???

Hello Tumblr! Have some sketches from the past week and a halfish!
I’ve been drawing a lot lately, I might even CG something tonight if I finish my homework early! We’ve been doing drapery studies in art class, and the rest of the sketches are various Korra/Avatar with a little Hunger Games thrown in there because I love Rue and her hair is fun to draw.
